The way through suffering is
not in denial, but rather in living fully in the midst of the trials
life brings our way.
Henri Nouwen
Even though we are in
sufferings in regards to the earthquake that hit Haiti during the month
of January 2010, we could see how God is moving in the midst of the
churches bringing the people back to Him. There is a new wave of
Christian movement that has been birthed through this catastrophe.
Here is a
spiritual report of what has been taking place in MP churches in schools
before, during and after the catastrophe:

Mission
Possible Churches
- Lanzac church
From the time the earthquake
hit to this day there has been 115 people who have given their lives to
Jesus. Since that day there has been a spiritual break through in Lanzac.
Every day the people meet to share the Word of God and fellowship
together.
- Chardenne
Church
10 people are awaiting
baptism until a date is set. There has been preparation to have them
come over to receive baptism next Sunday.
- In the other
churches, there have been great spiritual movement and a lot of
people have accepted Christ. However, I have not received detailed
information as to how many people have come to Christ.
The Bible
School
After this catastrophic event
took place, I was looking to see how we can bring our help and support
to the community. In the midst of this, I felt that Gods hand was
involved. For this, I sent letters to mobilize the Pastors and leaders
of the zone to have a meeting so that we can ask God for His forgiveness
and to confess with each other. It was a powerful time because there
were many confessions made between the leaders, for some of them had
held grudges against another. In that same spirit, I encouraged them to
do the same in their respective churches with their believers. They saw
that it was important and we chose a date to have three days of fasting
and prayer to confess and repent for our sins and for the sins of the
nation. The three days retained are February 12, 13 and 14, 2010. We
will gather at a public market during those days to implore God for His
mercy. We are expecting about 10,000 to 12,000 people. The service will
start every day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
St Marc
Church
Last Sunday we baptized 18
people from St Marc. Fifteen people have received Christ in their
lives. God is moving even through the trials.
God bless,
Herve
