Prayer Requests

February 2010

“O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; Give ear, O God of Jacob!  Selah”.  Psalm 84:8

Week 1, Feb 1 – 7:

Please join us in praying for Haiti and its people, as they work to recover and rebuild after the recent 7.2 earthquake that hit last month.  (H)

Many injured Haitians are making their way to the Dominican Republic, seeking help and healing in the hospitals, most of whom are traveling alone or with others who are injured as well.  Also, many of the doctors and nurses in the DR do not speak Creole and the hospital staff is too few to meet the needs of each person.  Ebenezer Church members and Ebenezer School students have been helping to interpret and serve the people in need.  They have been faced with many difficult circumstances and sights.  Please pray for God to give them the grace, love, and energy they need to continue to serve.  (DR & H)

Continue to pray for our Haitian and Dominican leaders’ safety.  They are on the front lines in providing help to the refugees.  (H, DR & O)

Week 2, Feb 8 – 14:

We thank God for the many willing and ready hearts to help those in need.  (O)

Due to the earthquake that hit last month, food prices are going up in Haiti.  Please pray for the funds to purchase enough food necessary to feed Mission Possible students.  (H)

Please continue to pray for the purchase of land next to Ebenezer School in the Dominican Republic as this purchase will nearly double our land, enabling the school to grow.  (DR)

Pray that Mission Possible funds can be easily sent to both the Dominican Republic and Haiti as we continue our ministry and provide help to those in need.  (O)

Week 3, Feb 15 – 21:

Please pray for the people of Haiti as they search for loved ones who are still missing.  (H & DR)

We thank God for the physical safety of each Mission Possible staff and students and the mission teams that were in Haiti during and after the earthquake.  (H & DR)

Some constituents in Canada are in need of physical healing.  We pray God’s healing touch upon each of them.  (O)

Week 4, Feb 22 – 30:

Please continue to pray for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of Mission Possible students, staff and their families.  (H & DR)

Please pray for Mission Possible as we continue to seek God’s plan and direction for the ministry.   (H, DR & O)

Pray for the Haitian government and leaders as they lead their country in rebuilding.  Pray that integrity, honesty and care for the people prevails.  (H)
